A poll released by Rasmussen Reports found that 49% of American adults think that doing their taxes is worse than going to the dentist.
The same poll finds that only 19% of Americans find the United States tax system fair. 56% believe that tax increases generally hurt the economy, with only 17% of Democrats disagreeing. 52% say tax cuts generally help the economy.
If this is the way the majority of Americans feel about the economy and taxes, then why did Gabby Giffords, who claims to be fiscally conservative, jump in line with Nancy Pelosi to vote for the largest tax hike in U.S. history? A tax hike which totals $39,200,000,000 over the next 5 years, costing Arizonan’s an additional $2,701 a year in taxes?
